Community Advisory Committee

We are inviting you to become a member of our Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC’s member's role is to bring forward comments and questions from their community and to act as a representative of their community to help develop the long-term transit strategy for Durham Region. Their focus will be on building community buy-in, identifying possible issues and acting as a liaison between the project team and their community. We are looking for members of the public who have a strong interest in public transit for Durham Region. To ensure we have representation from all areas of the Region, we are establishing three CAC’s across the Region. We need representatives for Group 1 (Whitby, Oshawa and Clarington), Group 2 (Ajax and Pickering) and Group 3 (Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog).

Committee meetings were held in January, May and October 2009. The notes and presentations from those meetings can be found here.

The fourth and final Community Advisory Committee meetings will also be held in January 2010. These meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to attend - just let us know you’re coming.
